Removing splinters or other foreign bodies using irrigation, swabs, or other simple measures
Over the counter medications only
Drilling a toenail or fingernail to relieve pressure
Eye Patches or finger guards
Massages (physical therapy or chiropractic treatment are considered medical treatment for recordkeeping purposes)

What do these rates mean?
TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate):
Number of recordable incidents per 100 full-time workers per year. Includes all deaths, days away, restricted work, and other recordable cases.
DART Rate (Days Away, Restricted, or job Transfer):
Number of incidents involving days away from work, restricted work activity, or job transfer per 100 workers. Often considered the most important safety metric.
LTIR (Lost Time Incident Rate):
Number of incidents with days away from work per 100 workers. Only counts cases where the employee missed work.
Severity Rate:
Total number of days lost (away from work + restricted duty) per 100 workers per year. Higher numbers indicate more severe injuries.
